Authentic Communication

This week I was fortunate enough to hear Madeline Phucket speak on Communicating differently with customers. One of the goals of this blog has always been clear and unfiltered access to what has historically been behind the scenes winemaking. The power of authenticity and sincerity in communication resonated with today’s populace, myself included.

We are information seekers

We look for information to make decisions as elder millennials. We use influencers and Social Media to gather information in addition to research we do on our own. Person to person is the most trusted source of information and that makes people go look for more information about something.

We give importance to what we spend our time on.

Who aren’t your customers?

Know your market. Know what they are going to pay for. Love those customers even though they may not be the customers you originally thought you would have.

Put yourself in your customer’s point of view. Each marketing message that goes out should be targeted to one person. Ask yourself “who is this for?” Customers want answers. “I didn’t want to give people answers because then they would never really learn.”

Your vision is your race car. Race cars don’t have cup holders. Every seven pounds is a horsepower. Strip off everything that doesn’t fit your vision.

When you are passionate you want zéro barriers between you and getting your message out there.
